FAQ's

Q: How far in advance can I schedule a ride?

A:  Passengers can schedule a ride up to 3 months in advance of their trip date.  RIDES also will schedule standing orders, meaning if a passenger knows they will always need a ride on Mondays, RIDES can schedule the trip for every Monday.

Q: What if I can't afford the fare?

A: While RIDES does not subsidize individual fares, there are some organizations that can assist.  Seniors may contact Northwest Aging Association at (712) 262-1775.  The Department of Human Services, or your caseworker, may also be able to assist.

Q: I have a ride scheduled, but don't need it anymore.  What should I do?

A:  Passengers must call dispatch at (800)358-5037 to cancel a scheduled trip.  Otherwise, they will be marked as a no-show.

Q: Where can I find more information?

A: RIDES has a Passenger Guide that you may read here: Passenger Guide
