DRIVERS TRAINING

 

Rides places safety as a top priority.  

Pictured are RIDES drivers participating in training sessions designed to enhance their proper securement techniques.  

RIDES is honored to transport passengers and their personal mobility device. All RIDES vehicles are handicap accessible and RIDES drivers are trained and certified in securement, CPR and first aid.

ANNUAL MEETING

 

Saturday evening June 2, 2012 RIDES Regional Transit Authority of Northwest Iowa held their annual meeting. The event was held in the dining hall of Lakeside Lutheran Camp where everyone enjoyed a beautiful view of East Lake Okoboji.

Executive Director Hugh Lively stated the evening was designed to celebrate the past year and the employees of RIDES who put into practice daily the mission of RIDES.

The night included honoring and celebrating Todd Rohwer of Spencer for his twenty five years as an outstanding employee for rides. Above is Hugh Lively presenting Todd with an award honoring his twenty five years of dedicated service. Todd has been the Maintenance Supervisor since 1976.

Gib Butler from O'Brien County was also recognized for his excellence not only as a driver but as a respected coworker. Gib was voted driver of the year by his coworkers.
